He is a Professor of Politics and Public Administration at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and has been the Director of the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) since its creation in 2004. His main research area is the comparative analysis of public policies, with special emphasis on regulatory policy and its specialist institutions. He has also conducted research on collective action, social capital and diffusion processes, on all of which he has published a number of papers and books. From 2005 to 2010 he was co-chair of the ECPR standing group on regulatory governance.
He is currently Head of Studies at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), where he has been Associate Professor since 2010. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2006). His research and teaching interests cover a wide range of topics within the field of international relations, including international political theory, the European Union and international organisations. He was co-editor of Millennium: Journal of International Studies, and since 2011 has been a member of the editorial board of the Revista CIDOB d’Afers Internacionals.

He is a specialist in governance, public management and the analysis of public policy, and has also worked on social exclusion, democratic innovation and civil society, on all of which he has published a number of papers and books. He is the director of several master’s and postgraduate programmes, such as a Master’s in Public Management, a Master’s in Social Policies and a Postgraduate Course in Social and Cooperative Economy.

Mr Blanco is a lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Public Law at the UAB and has been a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Public Policy of the De Montfort University (UK). His main fields of research are urban policy, urban governance, public participation and social innovation.

Her research focuses on metropolitan governance, urban policies and local government. She has published several articles, book chapters and comparative studies. She has been a researcher at the National Institute of Scientific Research of Quebec (INRS) and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Montreal. She received the Gold Academic Medal of the Governor General of Canada and the INRS Award for her doctorate in Urban Studies (2007). In 2013 she won the first prize in the political book of the Parliament of Quebec.

Mr Ramió has been the director of the Public Administration School of Catalonia and chairman of Ivàlua (Consorci d’Avaluació de Polítiques Públiques).
Dean and Professor at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). He holds a Master’s degree in Political and Political and Social Theory from the UPF. Mr Salvador has been a visiting researcher at the Interdisciplinary Institute of Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. His academic activity focuses on public management, especially transformation processes in such fields as human resource management, organization, process management, electronic government and open government.
