He holds a PhD in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and he is a Professor in Constitutional Law at the University of Barcelona. Mr Pisarello is currently First Deputy Mayor of Barcelona City Council and is responsible for Economy, Work, and Strategy. He is also in charge of International Relations and Global Justice. He is President of Barcelona Activa, the municipal local development agency, the Municipal Institute of Finance, as well as the Municipal Institute of Informatics. He is also borough councillor of the district of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi. He has published several works on constitutionalism, social rights, democracy, immigration and the criminalization of protest. He was Vice-President of the Observatory of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (Observatori DESC).
She holds a degree in Economics and Journalism and a PMD®-Program for Management Development from ESADE. She has fulfilled management positions in several public administrations. Ms Jiménez is the current Deputy Head of Cabinet of the first Deputy Mayor of Barcelona. She has developed her professional career in the fields of economy, urban development, international relations, strategy and communication. She has also worked as a journalist, a columnist and a commentator for various media.
He is a Professor of Politics and Public Administration at the Pompeu Fabra University and has been the Director of the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) since its creation in 2004. His main research area is the comparative analysis of public policies, with special emphasis on regulatory policy and its specialist institutions. He has also conducted research on collective action, social capital and diffusion processes, on all of which he has published a number of papers and books. From 2005 to 2010 he was co-chair of the ECPR standing group on regulatory governance.
Mr Subirats holds a PhD in Economics and a chair in Political Science at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He is also a researcher at the Institute of Government and Public Policy (IGOP). He is a specialist in governance, public management and the analysis of public policy, and has also worked on social exclusion, democratic innovation and civil society, on all of which he has published a number of papers and books. He is the director of several master’s and postgraduate programmes, such as a Master’s in Public Management, a Master’s in Social Policies and a Postgraduate Course in Social and Cooperative Economy.
He is a professor at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) where he is the current Dean of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences. His research focuses on the analysis of public policies, the design of innovative systems in public management and governance models. He has worked as a consultant for several public administrations in Spain. Internationally, he has been actively involved in the analysis of the political and administrative situation in Latin America. He has also collaborated with the European Commission as a research and development project evaluator.
He is currently Head of Studies at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals, where he has been Assistant Professor since 2010. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2006). His research and teaching interests cover a wide range of topics within the field of international relations, including international political theory, the European Union and international organisations. He was co-editor of Millennium: Journal of International Studies, and since 2011 has been a member of the editorial board of the Revista CIDOB d’Afers Internacionals.
He holds a PhD in Political Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He is a Ramón y Cajal Research Fellow at the Institute of Government and Public Policies (IGOP). Mr Blanco is a lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Public Law at the UAB and has been a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Public Policy of the De Montfort University (UK). His main fields of research are urban policy, urban governance, public participation and social innovation.
He holds a chair in Political and Administration Science at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). His research interests include administrative reform, public management, public-private partnerships, electronic governance and human resource management. He has published 18 books and 120 scientific articles on these subjects. Mr Ramió has been the director of the Public Administration School of Catalonia and chairman of Ivàlua (Consorci d’Avaluació de Polítiques Públiques).
He is a professor at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) where he is the current Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences. He holds a Master’s degree in Political and Political and Social Theory from the UPF. Mr Salvador has been a visiting researcher at the Interdisciplinary Institute of Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. His academic activity focuses on public management, especially transformation processes in such fields as human resource management, organization, process management, electronic government and open government.
